Our films have been shown in festivals around the globe winning many international awards and have been distributed internationally.
Most films are international co-productions in collaboration with our local filmfunds and broadcasters, both national and international. Sophimages received support from the Media programme (for both slates and individual projects) in development, distribution and through i2i as well as support from Eurimages. Sophimages has equally gathered extensive expertise in financing through the Belgian Taxshelter.
SOPHIE SCHOUKENS art historian, master in communication sciences and literature & film writing EAVE, Binger, Arista & Moonstone graduate. Gained extensive experience in the fields of filmproduction. Also worked during 6 years as the head of development for the EC Media Programme.
Recently she decided to write and direct films such as 'Alice or life in black and white' and 'Marieke, Marieke' (see website). Currently she's developing new projects
